About Us: What is Granny Nise's Bake Shop?
Granny Nise's Bake Shop was started in early 2025 by Chef Adam Tsuchiyama. Chef Adam's love of food started as a young kid, with fond memories of visiting his grandma, helping her in the kitchen for her annual New Year's Day party, and of course eating her delicious, fresh baked cookies! That initial love drove him to pursued a career in the culinary industry, working the past 10 years across the Nashville hotel, catering, and local restaurant scene. But with all of the culinary experience he gained, he wanted to get back to the roots his grandma taught him: delicious, fresh baked goods, always made from scratch, and always made with love!
So, Chef Adam decided to forge his own path, creating Granny Nise's Bake Shop in honor of his grandma. Every batch is made in her memory, and we hope every bite reminds you of your own roots, your own childhood, and your own grandma!
Why do I have to place my order 2 days in advance?
We are a very small bakery, and every order is made fresh, from scratch, and to order. The 2 days are necessary for us to prep, bake, and deliver your order with the love and care it deserves! So, while your order may take longer than other larger bakeries, you know that you're getting fresh pastries of the highest quality, and baked with love. We promise it's worth it!

If Adam's first love is food, then his second love is a good bit. And his grandma was known for always laughing, smiling, and having a good sense of humor! Was his real grandma this crazy? No, but with her sense of humor, Adam likes to think she's looking down on him, giggling, with her feet dangling in her chair (she was very short).
